Merrick, junto con John McEntee Bowman y funcionarios de la ciudad, iniciaron oficialmente la construcci\u00f3n de lo que hoy conocemos como The Biltmore Hotel and Golf Course. Diez meses despu\u00e9s, el 15 de enero de 1926, The Biltmore abri\u00f3 sus puertas al p\u00fablico por todo lo alto. <\/p>\n<p>Nos enorgullece ser una parte importante y perdurable de la visi\u00f3n y el legado del Sr. Merrick para Coral Gables, The City Beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>Desde su apertura durante el apogeo del boom inmobiliario de Florida como uno de los complejos tur\u00edsticos m\u00e1s elegantes del pa\u00eds, pasando por servir a nuestro pa\u00eds como hospital militar y de veteranos, ser la sede inicial de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Miami, y finalmente regresar a su condici\u00f3n de hotel de lujo y Monumento Hist\u00f3rico Nacional en 1996, tenemos una historia \u00fanica y rica que contar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El 13 de marzo de 1925, George E.
